By showing your face its supposed to stir interest in people to come and see your blog. The whole flaw is that MyBlogLog hasn't caught on, most bloggers don't have a MyBlogLog widget. In addition, the community is rather limp, there's not much to do on it to promote your blog. Twitter is better.
